### Technical Data Sheet: Alloy 188 / Haynes 188 (UNS R30188) **Cobalt-Nickel-Chromium-Tungsten Superalloy for Extreme Temperature Applications** --- #### 1. Overview **Alloy 188** (commercially known as **Haynes 188**, **UNS R30188**) is a solid-solution strengthened cobalt-nickel-chromium-tungsten superalloy distinguished by its exceptional high-temperature strength, outstanding oxidation resistance, and excellent structural stability. The addition of lanthanum significantly enhances its oxidation resistance, making it superior to many conventional superalloys in extreme environments. This alloy maintains excellent fabricability and weldability while providing superior performance in oxidizing, sulfidizing, and carburizing atmospheres up to 1200°C (2190°F). --- #### 2.
