### **Product Introduction: Alloy WE132 / INCONEL WE132 & Equivalent Specifications**
**Alloy WE132** is a historical designation that is fundamentally equivalent to the widely recognized nickel-based superalloy **INCONEL 718**. The "WE132" nomenclature is primarily associated with its use as a welding electrode or filler metal. However, the wrought product forms (bar, wire, plate, sheet) made to this composition are globally standardized as **INCONEL 718 (UNS N07718)**.
This alloy is a precipitation-hardenable nickel-chromium material containing significant amounts of niobium and molybdenum. It is one of the most used superalloys due to its unique combination of high strength, excellent fatigue and creep resistance, and good fabricability, especially its outstanding weldability and resistance to post-weld cracking.
---
#### **Key Features & Advantages**
* **Multi-Purpose Superalloy:** Serves as a base metal (plate, bar, forgings), a filler metal (welding wire), and a casting alloy.
* **Excellent Strength Over a Wide Temperature Range:** Exhibits exceptionally high yield, tensile, and creep-rupture properties from **cryogenic temperatures up to 700°C (1300°F)**.
* **Superior Weldability:** Unlike many other age-hardenable superalloys, it is highly weldable without significant susceptibility to strain-age cracking post-weld.
* **Outstanding Corrosion Resistance:** Resists a wide variety of corrosive media, including oxidation, pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress-corrosion cracking.
* **Age-Hardenable:** Achieves its maximum strength through a precise precipitation hardening heat treatment.
