### **Product Datasheet: N-7M Cast Nickel Alloy (UNS N30007)**
**A Nickel-Molybdenum Casting Alloy for Severe Reducing Corrosion Environments**
---
#### **1. Overview**
**N-7M** (UNS N30007) is a nickel-molybdenum casting alloy designed to provide exceptional resistance to severe corrosive environments, particularly in reducing acid conditions. As the cast equivalent of wrought HASTELLOY® B alloy (UNS N10001), this material offers outstanding performance in hydrochloric acid at all concentrations and temperatures, along with excellent resistance to sulfuric, phosphoric, and other non-oxidizing acids.
The alloy maintains good mechanical properties at elevated temperatures and exhibits excellent structural stability in high-temperature service. Its high molybdenum content provides superior resistance to localized corrosion while maintaining good fabricability and weldability characteristics in the cast form.

**Technical Note:**
N-7M castings provide an economical alternative to fabricated wrought components for complex geometries in severe corrosive service. The alloy's performance is optimized for reducing acid environments where chromium-containing alloys would suffer accelerated corrosion.
Proper heat treatment is essential to achieve optimal corrosion resistance in cast components. Consultation with the foundry regarding solution annealing requirements is recommended for critical applications.
