Waspaloy (UNS N07001) is a premium nickel-based, precipitation-hardenable superalloy renowned for maintaining exceptional strength and oxidation resistance at temperatures up to 980°C (1800°F). **Waspaloy Wire** is a versatile product form supplied in various conditions and finishes to serve multiple industrial functions, including welding consumables, fastener manufacturing, and high-temperature spring applications.

#### **8. Welding Characteristics**
**Operating Parameters:**
- Use DCEN (Direct Current Electrode Negative) for GTAW
- Maintain interpass temperature below 200°C (400°F)
- Employ argon or argon-helium shielding gases
- Recommended preheat: 20-150°C (68-300°F)
**Post-Weld Heat Treatment:**
- Solution treatment: 1080°C (1975°F) ± 15°C
- Aging: 845°C/4hr + 760°C/16hr (air cool)
- Stress relieving available when full heat treatment is not practical

Standard Packing:
Typical bulk packaging includes palletized plastic 5 gallon/25 kg. pails, fiber and steel drums to 1 ton super sacks in full container (FCL) or truck load (T/L) quantities. Research and sample quantities and hygroscopic, oxidizing or other air sensitive materials may be packaged under argon or vacuum. Solutions are packaged in polypropylene, plastic or glass jars up to palletized 2312 gallon liquid totes Special package is available on request.
